Ah! Now we come to the interesting part.
SEO Pencil did not start as SEO Pencil! It started a few years ago as a couple of young people who wanted to do something creative in their spare time and took up content writing. Within a few months, we built a steady stream of content orders of all kinds -

- Rewriting / Ghost Writing

Even today, Content Writing is the backbone of our services and we have a team of over 80 wonderful writers who are equipped to handle tasks of all kinds - from simple SEO articles written for Search Engines, to complex Technical Specification Documents written for Engineers!

One of our clients asked us one day if we could handle the second part of his service offerings - converting these articles into blogs and maintaining them. Since that is not too difficult, we brought in a couple of people and there was born a second service stream at our firm - maintaining and updating blogs. Then another client asked us if we could build LinkWheels, and we decided to try that too! Today, we probably are the world's most experienced LinkWheel team, and we would have done no less than 4000 different LinkWheel orders for more than 4000 different client websites! We have built a list of over 40 Web 2.0 Properties with a high Page Rank, where hosting a blog will immediately lend authority to the client's money site. We've mastered the nuances of LinkWheel building and can execute orders of any complexity.

Then a client asked if we create videos and today we do that too!

Since these blogs had to be indexed and pinged, we brought in a person who could take care of those services also, and every blog created by us - whether as a standalone one or as a part of a linkwheel - is pinged and submitted to RSS for free.

The next request we had from clients was whether we could do backlinks as that was the only other major service which had to be done by a different team on their behalf somewhere else. We said we'll try, and boy, did we try or what! We today have a list of thousands of blogs of all kinds - Do Follow, No Follow, Low PR, High PR, sorted by category - which approve comments without fail. We send in a report only after we test whether the comments have been found on the blog. We are currently working on building our own network of High PR blogs across various platforms on various topics, so that we can offer high PR comments to consultants without depending on third party blogs any more. These should be ready in a few weeks time.

Our newest request from a client was whether we could handle his Social Media profiles, and we started doing that a few months ago. Today, we have a dedicated team handling Social Media, and we have developed a few unique services - like Branding, Bookmarking, and Profile maintenance on a regular basis - so that the client site is visible to the niches it wants to target.

But through it all, we never lost sight of our core competency - of being the best backend team there is. Period. We have different options when it comes to Project Management. For small SEO Consultants, we found that email would do very well indeed. As the project grows bigger, we can integrate into your existing project management system - either a paid one like Base Camp or a free one like Microsoft Office Live. Else, we can also help you create a temporary system for free on one of the processes we use till the project grows big enough for us to buy a subscription with one of the big guys.

We are quite informal when it comes to payment options - But we like to get paid on time! We have clients who pay us via bank transfer (we are located in India, ask your banker if he'll transfer for a low fee), clients who prefer PayPal (but remember that they charge you 3.6% as transaction fees), and a few who just pay us via Western Union! We can talk about payments and retainers as we begin working together.

Finally, if you've read this page carefully, you would have realized that most of our offerings have come by means of client requests. There are two realizations from this for you -

1- We can pick up new technologies real fast and integrate them into our existing team seamlessly, and

2- Whatever we've learnt, we've picked up from clients like you and hence we will never go out and start offering SEO Services on our own! We like what we do and are good at this. So no real point in re-inventing the wheel.

One more thing we should mention here is privacy. We take your privacy very seriously, and in all these years of working with thousands of clients, we have never ever breached the trust of one of these people. We have clients who just install Form Spring or some other piece of software into their site shopping carts and give our email ID as the destination for the form so that we can begin work on it immediately. We know from those mails what exactly a client is charging for the work to an end customer, and we also know the original customer contact details. But like we said, we have grown to a team of over 110 people by working within the vision statements of dozens of SEO Consultants and we respect that. But we know that trust will not be built in a day. As we grow together, we'll build that anyway.
